About the Journal
The Journal of Infectiology and Epidemiology is a peer-reviewed, open access journal on infectious diseases and the science of epidemiology. It serves researchers, clinicians, public health professionals and policymakers working to understand, prevent and control infection.
Core topics include the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, with particular attention to emerging infections; population-level epidemiology, surveillance and outbreak reports; and microbiology and virology, including pathogen-host interactions. The journal also covers antimicrobial resistance, from its mechanisms to strategies for containing it.
Public health research is a priority, including evaluations of vaccination and disease-control programs, One Health studies linking human, animal and environmental health, health economics and policy analysis of the burden of infection, and community education and prevention initiatives.
Research articles and reviews are considered. All articles are open access under CC BY 4.0 and receive a DOI.
